Spring Break Ideas With Indigo Kids

I've partnered with Indigo Kids to share all about their Spring Break Shop - a curated selection of activities, arts and crafts, games, books and beyond. Whether you're gearing up for March Break or just in need of more "at home" ideas, Indigo Kids provides a one stop shop destination with a little something for everyone.

I'm used to navigating life with a busy bodied child who is always asking, forever wondering, and need to know everything about everything. I do my best to answer these calls in the best of times but am always trying to find new activities that will keep him both occupied in learning.

With cancellations from school to playdates this year, I was happy to get the opportunity to explore new inspiration alongside a store that is already tried in true in our household. I love the fact that Indigo has become a bit of a lifestyle store and offers something for everybody in our household and also, professional Plum Points collector over here.

We opted for all things space for this particular project but also, it's a topic that provides endless options for learning and fun. The big hit of items selected from the Spring Break Shop was this Maker Lab: 28 Super Cool Projects book. While it took us 3 days because elastics are hard for a 5-year old, we jumped right in at the first space themed activity and this was the outcome. Something that looks cool and got a thumbs up from the kids too.

Indigo items used for this project include: this Maker Lab book, Rainbow Loom elastics as accent colours/sparkles/etc. We also got Kinetic Sand for imaginative "space" play and this awesome lift-the-flaps Ultimate Book of Space to keep our youngest one entertained all the while.

With 27 more activities to go in the idea book alone, I think it was the biggest win for both the kids and the parents. I highly suggest it as a book where you'll actually do the crafts and not just stuff it away to collect dust.

See more about our process of making this through my Indigo Kids highlight.

And last but not least, find the entire Spring Break collection here.

This post in partnership with Indigo Kids.
All views, opinions, and selections are that of my own.
