Life Lately, November

Christmas time is here. Well, maybe not exactly but it sure feels like the holiday season is rolling in steadily. The temperatures are dropping, the trees are going up (not ours yet).

Our first taste of the holiday season was attending the Petit Lem press event, hosted by the Montreal brand here in Toronto. The event offered all things festive from gourmet waffles to Mac-n-cheese in holiday boxes and a hot chocolate bar which seemed to be the biggest hit. We made ornaments and decorated sugar cookies, as well as previewed their seasonal collection filled with the cutest holiday-themed prints and styles.

We left with these super fun Santa's Helper crewnecks (mom and dad as well) and also have a set of their pajamas tucked away until December. We always kickstart our advent calendar with the tradition of the kids receiving Christmas PJs and a new ornament, on the 1st.

Details on our at-home advent calendar and filler ideas in this post here.

I also had the opportunity to come and shoot some BTS content at Park Hill Studio's holiday installation (available at their Melrose studio until December 25th). We were lucky enough to have the studio's own Tiffany Lynn shoot some beautiful family photos there, that I will share after I decide which ones I'm gatekeeping for Christmas cards.

I personally have an additional amount of social content work, as always at this time of the year and have had fun sharing content for Pilot Coffee Roasters (see posts here) as well as gearing up for my favourite of vitruvi's annual sales, the BFCM sale. We already have all the warm cozy vibes rocking with the diffusers in our home.

I'm finishing up advent calendar prep which usually helps string the days of December together for the kids. With the last day of school this year being the 23rd, we'll be hanging on to the excitement it brings us each day.

In the meanwhile, we will also be making a very winter-y trip and having a stay with the coolest outdoor getaway company in the country, IMO. Stay tuned for that. I am also looking forward to an upcoming event with Sundays - another company we love in our household and I have long admired.

I hope everyone is starting to feel that positive, cheery feeling the holidays bring regardless of which winter holiday you celebrate. It is my most favourite time of the year.

Photos in this post were taken by Maria Elisabeth Photography. If you're in the southern Ontario area and adore her photography as much as we do, you'll want to keep an eye out for an upcoming giveaway for the holidays.

x, OM
