Lululemon Athleisure, Maternity Style

Having a better grip on what exactly my signature style is and a better understanding or consciousness of my consumer habits, has made a world of difference this pregnancy, compared to my first.

When it comes to my pregnancy wardrobe, two things have changed: I am embracing a need for change of certain shapes, fits and designs while maintaining my personal style — and — choosing pieces maternity or non that will serve purpose in my wardrobe long after delivery, weight loss, etc.

One of the things I’ve done differently to adhere to those efforts, is shop (when needed) at stores and brands I normally support anyways as it helps keep my wardrobe streamlined, cohesive and functional through all stages and postpartum — and one of those places has been, Lululemon.

For obvious reasons, any type of yoga wear is a great consideration for pregnancy. Made for stretching of all kinds, yoga pieces can be some of the most flexible (no pun intended) and accommodating wardrobe items. But what I love with Lululemon is that there is such a good selection of studio-to-street designs, that can be worn and worked into an every day wardrobe regardless of your active regimen (or in my case, lack there of).

Some of their old and current pieces have been of my biggest go-to’s this pregnancy including; the On The Fly Pant (featured), Ready To Rulu PantDance Studio Joggers  Love TanksScuba Hoodies, compression socks, and rain jackets (featured - Rain Rebel) that are perfect for layering when you can’t decide what mood your body temperature is in that day.

Other pieces I’m currently eyeing, but totally trying to be mindful of buying, that make perfect for the last trimester and new-mom-phase are; the Free To Coast Wrap (all kinds of cozy, cover providing, and definitely good for throwing over babywearing), Noir Crop Pant (because black and high waisted = so much yes postpartum), Rulu Rally Wrap (easy access) and the Refresh Maxi.
